This Saturday, 5th October, we invite you to a unique experience on Heritage Day, celebrating "The Legacy of Immigrants." In this historic space, we will uncover the indelible marks left by immigrants who arrived in Uruguay and contributed decisively to the country's development in various fields. Through a special tour, we will explore how their lives and legacies are reflected in our cemetery, celebrating their influence on the culture, economy, art, and sport of our society. All of this will be framed by a unique atmosphere and accompanied by music that connects us to their roots. 15:00 to 16:20 hrs - Guided Tour "The Legacy of Immigrants and Their Footprints in Uruguay," featuring a guided exploration of the stories of men and women who made their mark in the country. Carolina Lazo Fariello and Architect Eduardo Montemuiño. 16:30 to 17:00 hrs - Talk in the Chapel "Football, from Its British Origins to Celestial Glories," which will explore how football, brought by British immigrants, became a symbol of pride for Uruguay. Juan Carlos Luzuriaga. 17:00 - Musical Closing with Gaita An emotive musical farewell that will connect us with the cultural roots of immigrants, featuring gaitera Patricia Izuibejeres. Doors close at 17:30 hrs. Come and commemorate this important legacy and celebrate our cultural heritage on an unforgettable day!
