Lest we forget. On behalf of The Allies Uruguay, we are proud to invite you to Remembrance Day 2023, which will take place in our gardens alongside our rose bushes. In a brief but highly emotional ceremony, we will remember and pay our respects to those who served their country in armed conflicts since the First World War, for the achievement of peace and our responsibility to maintain it. With the presence of several dignitaries, this date commemorates the armistice of the First World War, signed on November 11, 1918, at 11:00 a.m. in Le Francport, France. Therefore, every 11th of November at 11:00 a.m. is the most solemn moment of the ceremony, where "The Last Post" is played on the bugle in respect of the brave soldiers and civilians who died in conflict.
