What would happen if Darwin came to our lands again? 190 years ago, Charles Darwin was in Uruguay and showed us a new scientific vision for the world. What would happen if he came again to the places, he visited in 1833? It would be like a movie! Anita Aisenberg and Marcelo Casacuberta’s will be presenting “Darwin’s Legacy” talk and the audiovisual “Darwin’s Return”. Anita Aisenberg is a graduate in Biological Sciences from UdelaR and has a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences from PEDECIBA UdelaR. She is a Senior Research Professor (Grade 5) and Head of the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the Clemente Estable Biological Research Institute. She is also a Level 3 Researcher of the National System of Researchers (ANII). Marcelo Casacuberta is a photographer, director, and audiovisual producer. He is one of the most experienced nature and science documentary filmmakers in the medium. His feature films about Uruguayan fauna have won several awards at national and international festivals. He is the Co-Director of the production company De La Raíz Films, in charge of audiovisuals and photography at the Clemente Estable Biological Research Institute.
